Meal Description

We are offering an assortment of French sausages to celebrate the first week of this year’s Le Tour de France….and it just so happens to be Bastille Day.  Allez!

Sausage is a self-contained flavor delivery vehicle, no condiments or sauces necessary, and will add flavor to the grilled vegetables.  We are offering several sausage options, and while all the French Sausages contain pork, a chicken sausage also is available.  Each serving contains approximatley 8oz. of sausage and can choose up to 2 per person (4 different ones in total, if desired).  The sausage options are:

  1. Andouillette Sausage - blend of pork, mustard and spices.
  2. Boudin Blanc – a very delicate chicken and pork sausage flavored with milk and brandy. 
  3. Boudin Noir – you guessed it….made from beef blood, pork snouts, onions, and spices…hey, if you ordered the sweetbreads or the rabbit this week you will love this.
  4. Saucissons a l'Ail (French garlic sausage) – Pork sausage with fresh and roasted garlic.
  5. Toulouse Sausage – the traditional sausage for cassoulet made with pork, smoked bacon, wine, and garlic.

The Shishito Pepper is a small, spicy- sweet, thin-walled, glossy peppers grow up to 3-4 inches long. A quick pan grill or sauté and sprinkle of sea salt turns into a crunchy and savory pepper.  We are adding the Pattypan Squash just because they look so cute!

We are also offering an optional Pickled Nectarine Salad with Burrata and Black Garlic.  The pickled nectarine cuts the rich, creaminess of the burrata for this light summertime salad.  The black garlic is made by fermenting and aging fresh garlic bulbs for one week, creating a jelly-like texture with rich and tangy undertones and a hint of aged balsamic flavor, complementing with both flavor and color.
