Erin go Bragh! We are delivering the luck of the Irish for Saint Patrick’s Day….sorry, we mean in January…. with our Sous Vide Gras-Fed Corned Beef – it’s too yummy to wait another two months! The Corned Beef will be cooked for Sous Vide for 12-hours at 165 degrees and will be tender and delicious. This meal is fairly simple as the Sweet Potato Fries (or Russets) are baked, sandwiches assembled and broiled, and the Irish Pub Salad assembled, and you will be celebrating your very own pot of gold in less than 30 minutes. It will be the best Corned Beef you have every tasted (even if you are Irish!).
CookDC’s Chairman absolutely loves Corned Beef and this is her favorite sandwich. So much so, we began Corning (the term “corned,” means salt-cured, and comes from the old English word kernel, referring to the rock-salt kernels used to preserve the meat) all kinds of different cuts of beef…chuck, strip, round….but our favorite was tongue. We thought we could change her opinion since she does not like Cabbage either, but really likes Sauerkraut. Needless to say, the Chairman vetoed that menu option!
