Note: This sale ends at 8pm on Monday, October 17th as the Sauerbraten needs to marinate for at least 2 days and cook for the third.
Sauerbraten is essentially a pickled Pot Roast. We will marinate the grass fed beef round in vinegar for several days and then cook the pot roast Sous Vide overnight. The vinegar marinade creates the base for the rich sauce to accompany the meat. The Sauerbraten will be served with a traditional Blaukraut, which is braised red cabbage with apples and onions. Lastly, the meal will come with Knödel, which are German potato dumplings. We also will be offering Heringsalat, which is a German Herring Salad that includes pickled herring, capers, beets, onions, eggs, and apples.

Cook by Day: Wednesday *Let us know at checkout if you are not cooking on the day of delivery and certain items will be left unprepared.
